Growth Challenges: This Is Q4 2022

At the end of every blog post, I challenge my readers to do something that will encourage self-growth and learning. This post shares the all challenges from October-December 2022. Find my previous growth challenges linked at the bottom. I tried to organize the challenges into categories and then put them under subcategories of where the original post came from. The categories are:

Self-Growth, Character & Outlook

  • Listen to the podcast episode about Emotional Spending (Episode 25) and try to identify your “X”.  Tori does not try to convince you to stop spending money.  She encourages you to stop spending money on things you do not care about, so you have more money to spend on the things that you do.  – Full Post
  • Share your learning process with others.  Even if you are not an expert, you can still help someone who is starting their journey.  – Full Post
  • Find at least one positive in your attempts while you are learning.  It is never all bad. – Full Post
  • Choose a path that may not require a lot of skill or effort, but is still rewarding.  It is okay to collect easy wins.  A win is a win. – Full Post
  • Allow yourself to change your mind.  Life is too short to be so hard on yourself. – Full Post
  • Do a little research before your next challenging task.  Understanding other people’s process helps guide your decisions and will ultimately provide a stronger outcome. – Full Post
  • Try to focus on improving your adaptability.  Oftentimes, things do not turn out as we planned which presents us with a choice.  We can pivot and still find joy or become tunnel visioned to only see that our expectations were not met. – Full Post

Make A Change

  • Start seeing your days in quarters: morning, midday, afternoon, and evening.  You can be down in one quarter and still win the game.  I have seen this concept a few times on the Internet and I think it is worth sharing (not sure of the origin). – Full Post
  • Live your life for yourself.  People always ask about my intentions for my blog, Instagram, and challenges.  Right now, I am just having fun and I hope my challenges are inspiring at least 1 person.  If not, having to reflect while creating them, is definitely helping me grow. – Full Post
  • Happy Halloween!  Do not let today be the only day you creatively express yourself. – Full Post
  • Embrace the power of positive thinking.  Put good vibes into the world.  Manifest what you want to happen.  The cost of not doing so is too high. – Full Post

Adventure & Travel Challenges

  • Find the type of event you will go to each time you travel. – Full Post
  • Take time to drive to the unique location that may be a little farther out.  They are worth it. – Full Post
  • Create a list of 5 experiences that would make anyone love your hometown or area.  If you can’t think of 5, there is definitely an opportunity for more exploring at home. – Full Post
  • People gravitate towards bars in new cities to experience the culture or they have really good views.  Challenge yourself to go to a bar and order a nonalcoholic beverage.  – Full Post
  • Split your drive in half by adding a stop whenever you can.  It breaks up the driving and adds another adventure to your list. – Full Post

Self-Care Challenges

  • Allow yourself time to prepare and relax after hosting guests.  My calendar always includes time to make sure the space is ready, but for some reason, I assume that the second they leave, I will have the energy to work on my to-do list.  So far, I have been wrong 2/2 times.  – Full Post
  • Pick something today to be fiercely proud of.  Share your accomplishment with confidence and do not apologize for speaking out about something amazing.  You work hard for what you achieve. – Full Post
  • Unfollow negative social media accounts – Full Post
  • Treat yourself with the kindness and trust that you treat others.  If you are working through a problem, think about how you would handle it if your best friend was telling you about it.  Sometimes thinking about a situation as if it was impacting others will help you gain clarity. – Full Post
