Lantern’s food is delicious, but they had difficulty figuring out what could be made gluten-free for my friend.  It was a nice day out when we went, so they had their doors open and we sat inside, but outside. How best to explain this? Their outside wall is filled with windows that can be moved aside so we can get a breeze, but still sitting under their roof.  This place is going to be awesome in the colder months, too because you can get the feel of being outdoors while still being cozy inside. Is this New York’s version of Hygge? Confused what Hygge is? Reference this blog post. Unlike some more traditional Thai restaurants, Lantern offers a cocktail menu.  Not that I’ve ever been on a first date, but I think this could be a good pick.
